MONDAY, 5 February
LJUBLJANA - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to present the programme of activities of the ministry for 2007.
NAIROBI, Kenya - Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik is to attend a five-day annual meeting of the Global Ministerial Environment Forum.
LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic are to discuss the development of Slovenia's capital. A press statement is scheduled for after the talks, which will also be attended by Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant.
PARIS, France - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a two-day international conference entitled "Let us Free the Children of War".
BRUSSLES, Belgium - The 3rd joint parliamentary meeting on the Lisbon Strategy is to be attended by a delegation of the Slovenian parliament's EU Affairs Committee. The meeting lasts until Tuesday.
LJUBLJANA - The Liberal Academy, a forum of left-leaning academics, is to present its position on the recently revealed case of covert police surveillance of a Roma family.
LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange, the Manager Association and the Association of Supervisory Board members are sign a code on managing public limited companies.
TUESDAY, 6 February
LJUBLJANA - Transport Ministry is to outline its activities for 2007.
LJUBLJANA - A meeting of deputy group leaders is to discuss an extraordinary parliamentary session, called by 39 opposition deputies over a defence tender for the purchase of 135 Patria armoured personnel carriers.
LJUBLJANA - A panel on the role of Islam in contemporary societies is to also to feature high Muslim dignitaries from the UK, the US and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

THURSDAY, 8 February
SLOVENIA - Slovenia is to mark Culture Day, a bank holiday, in honour of its greatest Romantic poet France Preseren (1840-1849). Events are scheduled throughout the country.
SEVILLA, Spain - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to attend a two-day informal meeting of NATO defence ministers.
NUERNBERG, Germany - Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Minister Marjeta Cotman is to attend a two-day conference on the European social model.
LJUBLJANA - Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti is to hold a reception for the recipient of the Preseren awards.
KLAGENFURT, Austria - Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti is to address a ceremony marking the centenary of organised cultural activities by the Slovenian minority in the Austrian province of Carinthia.

MUNICH, Germany - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to take part in the 43rd Conference on Security Policy. The two-day event is to be opened by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and attended, among others, by Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Defence Secretary Robert Gates.
VOLGOGRAD, Russia - Slovenian women handball champions Krim Mercator are to take on Russian Dinamo Volgograd in the fourth round of the European Handball Champions League, group A.
