President Predicts Crisis if Rant is Not Elected

Ljubljana, 12 February - President Janez Drnovsek is determined to stick with his nominee for central bank governor, Andrej Rant. "There will be an institutional crisis if he is not elected, as Slovenia would not have a central bank governor," Drnovsek said in a press release on Monday. The main opposition party meanwhile voiced their support for Rant.
