LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to convene an extraordinary session at 1 AM to discuss the disputed purchase of 8X8 armoured personnel carriers by the Defence Ministry. (STA/PHOTO)
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to expected to debate the programming documents for phasing EU funds in 2007-2013, as well as a motion to amend the legislation on public sector wages at its regular weekly session. A press conference is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)
VIENNA, Austria - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to take part in the traditional opera ball, the Opernball, at the invitation of Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer. The two heads of government are to hold a brief meeting on the sidelines of the event.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate and Justice Minister Lovro Sturm are to be taking part in two-day a session of the EU Council for Justice and Home Affairs.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to take part in session of the EU Council for Transport, Telecommunications and Energy. The ministers are expected to debate the energy package that was put forward the European Commission in January.
ZAGREB, Croatia - State Prosecutor General Barbara Brezigar is to pay a working visit to Croatia at the invitation of Croatian State Prosecutor General Mladen Bajic. Fighting organised crime is expected to top the agenda of the talks.
LJUBLJANA - The STA is to release a backgrounder ahead of Friday's visit of Cypriot Foreign Minister Giorgos Lilikas to Slovenia. (STA)
MARIBOR - Power producer Dravske elektrarne Maribor, which runs several hydro plants on the river Drava in NE Slovenia, is to present results for last year as well as its plans at a press conference scheduled for 10 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The International Association for Lipica, an independent group opposing government efforts to expand the golf course into the protected area of the Lipica stud farm, is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to speak about international cooperation among NGOs and individuals in tackling problems facing the stud farm.
