Ljubljana, 21 February - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 22 February:
VIENNA, Austria - Foreign Affairs Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in a meeting of foreign ministers of the regional partnership, which also includes Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The highlight of the event will be a meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohammad El Baradei and Special UN Envoy for Kosovo Martti Ahtisaari.
LJUBLJANA - Representatives of the European Space Agency (ESA), headed by the director for legal and international affairs Rene Oosterlinck, is to begin a two-day visit to Slovenia. The delegation is to be received by Higher Education State Secretary Dusan Lesjak and MEP Alojz Peterle. Lesjak, Peterle and Oosterlinck are to hold a press conference at 12:30 PM. (STA/PHOTO)
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to hold its weekly session. The agenda includes amendments to the act on working time and compulsory rest periods for professional drivers. A press conference is to be held at 1 PM.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Minister of Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Marjeta Cotman is to join her counterparts in a meeting dedicated to plans for EU's strategy on demographic change in the bloc.
MOSCOW, Russia - Drago Kos, the president of the Council of Europe's Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), is to meet Viktor Ivanov, the aide of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kos is to outline Slovenian and international experience in fighting corruption and GRECO's expectations towards Russia, which recently joined this international organisation.
LJUBLJANA - Leader of the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) Jelko Kacin and historian Joze Pirjevec are to speak about relations with neighbouring countries at a press conference at 1 PM.
SYDNEY, Australia - A delegation of the parliamentary Commission for Slovenians Abroad, headed by its chair Janez Kramberger, is to begin a visit to Slovenians living in Australia.
LJUBLJANA - The Student Organisation of Slovenia (SOS) is to outline a public call for the a strategy of employment of young people at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The Gibanica festival of Slovenian dance is to get underway at 5 PM.
LASKO - Slovenia is to play Moldova at 6:30 PM and Belgium will take on Romania at 9 PM in day one of competition at a qualifying tournament for the European Futsal Championships. The tournament runs until Sunday.
