Vodovnik Wins in Shot Put at Athens Meet

Athens, 25 February - Miran Vodovnik won the men's shot put event at the indoor athletics Permit Meeting in Athens on Saturday. Vodovnik threw the shot 20.3 m, only 11 cm short of his own national record. Vodovnik has been in promising form ahead of the European Indoor Athletics Championships, which will take place in Birmingham next week.
