Profit at Abanka Soars, Total Assets up 15%

Ljubljana, 28 February - Abanka Vipa, a top-5 Slovenian bank, increased net profit by 53% in 2006 to EUR 26.25m and exceeded plans by nearly a third. Total assets grew by 15.1% to EUR 2.862bn, suggest the bank's unaudited results, which were released on Wednesday.
