SCHENGEN: Regions Along Border Coping with Extra Security

Ljubljana, 11 December - Slovenia has beefed up security along the border with Croatia ahead of its entry to the Schengen zone, when the 670 km frontier will become an external boundary of the no-border area. The extra police presence and new security precautions, including ramps on land split between the countries, have been accepted by locals as a necessary nuisance.
