Central Bank Rebuffs Allegations of Poor Bank Oversight

Ljubljana, 8 March - The central bank has rebuffed the allegations of several deputies of the ruling Slovenian Democrats (SDS) that its oversight of NLB's foreign subsidiaries was poor, in what a commentator sees as increased pressure ahead of the vote on President Janez Drnovsek's second nominee for the governor of Banka Slovenije.
