OECD Membership Talks May Take Two Years, Official Says

Ljubljana, 18 May - It may take two years before Slovenia becomes a member of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Dimitrij Grcar of the Economy Ministry said on Friday. Grcar told the press that membership talks could take that long because the country was using up much of its resources getting ready to hold the EU presidency in the first half of 2008.
