Review of Events in Slovenia And Foreign Policy Activities of Slovenia From 6 to 13 January

Ljubljana, 13 January - The past week was marked by several attempts to solve open questions between two government coalition parties, Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS) and Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD), but none of them led to a final solution. Heated discussions arouse mostly about the appointment of a new foreign minister. In the mid-week, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek at a press conference discussed topical foreign policy issues, among them also the question of appointment of a new foreign minister, and announced a beginning of discussions between parliamentary parties on Slovene foreign policy.
