Slovenia Celebrates 16th Anniversary of Independence

Ljubljana, 24 June - On 25 June 1991, the Slovenian Assembly passed the Basic Constitutional Charter and the Declaration of Independence, thereby declaring Slovenia an independent country. To mark the 16th anniversary of independence, Republic Square in Ljubljana will on Sunday host a central ceremony with Prime Minister Janez Jansa as the keynote speaker.
