Slovenia Celebrating National Day

Ljubljana, 25 June - Sixteen years ago, to the day, Slovenia declared its independence in the follow-up to the December 1990 plebiscite in which voters overwhelmingly supported the motion that the country should break away from the Yugoslav federation.
