Kresal Elected New LDS Leader

Žalec, 30 June - The opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) elected on Saturday Katarina Kresal, a 34-year-old political unknown, to head the party. Kresal got 287 votes at the LDS congress in Zalec to beat out challenger Matjaz Svagan, the mayor of the central town of Zagorje, who got 42.
