Presidential Candidates Happy with Slovenian-Russian Relations
Kranjska Gora, 29 July - The ceremony at the Russian Chapel below the Vrsic mountain pass on Sunday to commemorate Russian prisoners of war who died while building the road to the pass during World War I was attended by the three front-runners for the Slovenian presidency. Former central bank governor Mitja Gaspari, MEP Alojz Peterle and former high-ranking UN diplomat Danilo Tuerk all feel that Slovenian-Russian relations are good.
