Kriznar: Troops Won't Bring Peace to Darfur

Piran/Port Sudan, 3 August - Troops will not bring peace to Darfur. However, if a 26,000 strong African Union and UN peacekeeping force is the best the international community can do right now, the mission must be supported, said Tomo Kriznar, a Slovenian human rights activist and former special envoy of the Slovenian president to Darfur, who was imprisoned in Sudan last year for a month on accusations of spying and illegal entering into the country.
