Italian Interior Minister Due for Talks in Ljubljana
Ljubljana, 27 August - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate will be meeting his Italian counterpart Giuliano Amato in Ljubljana on Monday to discuss Slovenia's readiness to join the Schengen passport-free zone and its spell at the helm of the EU in 2008. The pair is also expected to sign an agreement on cross-border police cooperation.
