Minister Says Massive Border Delays Caused by Turks

Maribor/Ljubljana, 3 September - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate told public broadcaster Radio Slovenia on Monday that Sunday's eight-hour wait at the Obrezje (SE) border crossing between Slovenia and Croatia was caused by the large number of Turkish citizens who were returning to work in Western Europe and whose visas had to be checked.
