Simobil Launches Own UMTS Network

Ljubljana, 10 September - Slovenia's second largest wireless operator, Simobil, on Monday launched its own third-generation UMTS network, which is upgraded with HSDPA technology to allow data transfers of up to 3.6 Mbit/s. The 97 base stations currently in operation cover some 25% of the population.
