Prodi Visit Affirms Strong Links between Italy and Slovenia

Brdo pri Kranju/Ljubljana, 10 September - The status of minorities, Slovenia's EU presidency and economic cooperation were in the focus of talks that Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi held on Monday with senior Slovenian officials, including his counterpart Janez Jansa. Prodi voiced full support for Slovenia's EU presidency programme and expressed backing for the resolution of open issues with Croatia.
