Parliament Remains Without Deputy Speaker after Third Attempt

Ljubljana, 11 September - The third candidate that the Social Democrats (SD) put forward for the post of the third deputy speaker failed to garner sufficient support in parliament on Tuesday. Chair of the party's deputy group Miran Potrc won the support of 38 MPs and 28 voted against him, while he needed the endorsement of at least 46 lawmakers.
