Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 15 to 22 September

Ljubljana, 22 September - The week was marked by the heavy rains which severely hit parts of the country, leaving six dead and causing an extensive damage. The natural disaster overshadowed the official launch of the election campaign before the 21 October poll, the National Council's decision on a referendum on the privatisation of insurance companies, and the 7th place Slovenia managed to win at the European Basketball Championships.
