SLS Steps up Pressure on Croatia over Ecological Zone

Ljubljana, 4 October - The coalition People's Party (SLS) has said it would block Croatia's EU accession negotiations if Croatia went ahead and enforced the ecological and fisheries zone in the Adriatic for EU member states on 1 January. Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel on Wednesday meanwhile reiterated the stance that enforcement of the zone could present a problem in Croatia's EU accession efforts.
