Farm Chamber Amendments Cause Furore

Ljubljana, 15 October - The proposed amendments to the act on the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry (KGZS), which include a higher income threshold for mandatory membership, have caused a split in agriculture circles. Some farmers associations have been calling for the abolition of mandatory membership altogether while the KGZS itself is unhappy with the planned reduction of members and consequent lower income.
