Defence Share of GDP to Fall
Ljubljana, 18 October - The parliamentary Defence Committee discussed on Thursday budget documents for the next two years, which envisage the expenditures for defence to go down from 1.7% of GDP in 2008 to 1.68% of GDP in 2009. This means that Slovenia will not reach the 2% goal as it pledged before joining NATO in 2004.
