Podobnik Renounces Bid for Party Presidency
Slovenska Bistrica, 9 November - Janez Podobnik announced on Friday that he would not seek reelection as the leader of the junior coalition People's Party (SLS) at the 17 November congress in Ljubljana. This means the only candidate for the presidency remains Bojan Srot, the SLS vice-president and mayor of Celje, while Podobnik will stand for vice-president.
