First Heart Assist Device Operation Performed in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 12 November - An operation to connect a heart with a ventricular assist device (VAD) was performed on Saturday by cardiac surgeon Borut Gersak at Slovenia's main hospital, the University and Clinical Centre of Ljubljana, in what is the first such operation ever in Slovenia.
