Ban on Smoking Sees First Proposals for Amendments

Ljubljana, 19 November - Slovenia is seeing the first serious attempt at mitigating the ban on smoking in public places introduced in August. A readiness for compromise was expressed by Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak last week, whereas the opposition National Party (SNS) has sent to parliament legislative changes which would allow smoking in small bars and casinos.
