Finance Ministry Denies Fiscal Policy too Lax

Ljubljana, 21 November - The Slovenian Finance Ministry has denied statements by a member of the executive board of the European Central Bank (ECB) that Slovenia's fiscal policy was too lax. Lorenzo Bini Smaghi "commented the macroeconomic situation in Slovenia in a manner that does not correspond to the actual situation," the ministry said on Wednesday.
