Electricity for Households Dearer on 1 January

Ljubljana, 22 November - Electricity bills for households will go up by an average 6% on 1 January 2008, two of the five distributors said in a press release on Thursday. Elektro Ljubljana and Elektro Maribor quoted the excessive gap between the purchase and retail prices as the main reason for the rise, while the other distributors are expected to make rises known on Friday.
