Theme of the Week: First Thaler's Italian Meeting

Slovene Foreign Minister Zoran Thaler fulfilled his promise last week to start settling the relations with the neighbouring countries as his priority task because the dialogue with the neighbours in recent months when Slovenia had no diplomacy leader came to a stand still. Following the visits to Hungary and Croatia, Thaler on Wednesday departed for Rome with a determination to renew the negotiations with Italy which causes most problems in Ljubljana's international relations by blocking with a veto the negotiations on an agreement for association membership of Slovenia in the European Union.
