The Political Affirmation of LDS and DS

Ljubljana, 8 September - The acceptance of the Liberal-Democratic Party (LDS) and the Democratic Party (DS) as observers in the Liberal Internationale (LI) allows both parties an equal engagement in LI, said Zoran Thaler at today's press conference after his return from the LI Congress. The Congress in Mainz was attended by vice presidents of DS Dr. Dimitrij Rupel and Igor Omerza and members of LDS Zoran Thaler and Bogo Kovač. The resolution on the crisis in Yugoslavia mentions three times the possibility of using military means to resolve this crisis. It is obvious that LI does not acknowledge ZRY as the heir to the former SFRY: the ZRY has to apply for membership as any other new state. Macedonia should be acknowledged as soon as possible.
