The German Ambassador Visited Minister Tancig

Ljubljana, 8 September - The Slovenian Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Peter Tancig, received the German Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Günther Seibert. He talked to this distinguished guest about Slovenia's chance to obtain the German technical aid which the German state confers to Central and East European countries for restructuring their economy and for stimulating their contacts with European partners.
It was agreed that the Germany will continue to technically assist Slovenian ministries, institutions and organizations in those concrete programmes and projects that are coordinated by the Slovenian Ministry of Science and Technology through its Office for Foreign Technical Assistance. The Ambassador expressed his desire to continue this efficient and productive cooperation in the sphere of science, technics and technology which has been carried out for years between Slovenian and German scientific research universities and other organizations. Both interlocutors have welcomed the early signing of the interstate roof-agreement on cultural and scientific cooperation which serves as a foundation for a special agreement on scientific-technical programmes and projects.
