Slovenia and Croatia Signed Protocol on Education

Ljubljana, 10 September - The Slovenian Minister of Education and Sport, Dr. Slavko Gaber, and the Croatian Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, Vesna Girard-Jurkić, have signed the protocol on the cooperation of both states in matters related to education. The protocol regulates minor affairs such as cooperation in the sphere of higher education and this year's matriculation in both states. This temporary protocol is to be followed soon by a large agreement on cultural and educational cooperation between Slovenia and Croatia.
As regards matriculation of students from one state to the university of another state, the principle of reciprocity will be respected, while advanced students can continue their study on the basis of the old agreement and will be exempted from tuition fees.
