Croatian Alpinist Joins Slovenian Team Departing for Anapurn

Split, 13 September - Stipe Božić, a renowned alpinist from Split and the only Croatian to have climbed over 8000 meters, will join the Slovenian team departing on Sept. 19 to conquer Anapurn.
Stipe Božić will try to acomplish this feat together with Viktor Grošelj, one of the world best alpinists. This is Božić's eighth ascent in the Himalayas. Božić said that he is honored by Grošelj's invitation to join him in his ascent to Anapurn. The south cliff of Anapurn is one of the three most difficult alpinist routes, Lhotse and Everest's south cliff being the other two.
