The Representatives of the World and the European Bank Visited Minister Jazbinšek

Ljubljana, 28 September - Today, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Urban Planning, Miha Jazbinšek, received the representatives of the World Bank and the European Bank for Renewal and Development. The objective of this visit was to finance a Slovenian ecological project for the rehabilitation of the largest Slovenian pollutors.
Slovenia expects about 200 to 300 million USD of low-interest loans for various plans like desulphurizing in thermal plants, introduction of natural gas for household heating, sewage treatment in Ljubljana, Maribor and Krško, and other communal problems in the Ljubljana and Maribor region. Funds should be available by 1994.
