Slovenia Wants Direct Help For Refugees

Ljubljana, 7 October - With the financial burden of temporary refugees from the former Yugoslavia, Slovenia, like Croatia, wishes to get direct and indirect help through the UN High Commission for Refugees. Today, this expectation was broached by representatives of Slovenian ministeries and organizations dealing with refugee issues at a meeting with Fulvio Paolini, a special representative of UNHCR dealing with temporary refugees in Slovenia. The meeting took place at the Red Cross office in Ljubljana.
