Ljubljana, 10 December - Slovenia need not blush on the Day for Human Rights. All basic rights and privileges are guaranteed by the Slovenian constitution and international treaties. For some time now, Slovenia's record has been clear of brutal or mass violations of human rights as part of the political system. Yet there is some question as to what might happen to respect for human rights in the future. Changing those in power is not a guarantee for the respect of human rights and no country is safe from the abuse of authority, writes Dejan Pušenjak in today's Večer.
