Swiss skier Vreni Schneider won the World Cup slalom for women in the race for the 32nd Gold Vixen in Maribor with the joint time of two runs 1:45,26. Due to heavy snow and rain fall, the second run was postponed from Sunday to Monday to 12 a.m. The runner-up was Slovene skier Katja Koren (1:46,65), while the third was Norwegian Trude Gimle (1:46,88).
