EU PRESIDENCY: Ambassador Says Presidency Chance to Bring EU Closer to Citizens

Ljubljana, 19 December - Slovenia's ambassador to the EU believes the country's upcoming stint as the bloc's president will allow its citizens to grow closer to the EU. Igor Sencar said the EU was "truly fascinating", also because "60% to 70% of national legislation is influenced" by what is agreed at EU level.
