Report: US Wants Slovenia to Be First to Recognise Kosovo

Ljubljana, 25 January - A Slovenian daily reports on Friday that the US has requested of Slovenia to be the first country to recognise Kosovo independence. Prime Minister Janez Jansa said that nobody was dictating to Slovenia on how to run the EU, the Foreign Ministry said it would carry out an investigation, while the US Embassy said it could not comment.
