Carnival Festivities around Slovenia Begin This Weekend

Ljubljana, 31 January - Shrovetide festivities get underway this weekend in almost every Slovenian city and town, expressing people's tradition and local history. This is also the time when people shed their everyday identities and show their other, naughtier, self by wearing costumes, dancing, and participating in traditional carnival processions.
