Forestry Service Proposes Culling of 75 Brown Bears

Ljubljana, 11 February - The Forestry Service has issued an expert opinion proposing the culling of 75 brown bears and eleven wolves in 2008. The opinion sparked a protest from an animal rights group, which said on Monday the plan was illegal and unacceptable. The Environment Ministry has not yet issued its opinion.
