Penal Code Sent to Final Reading Amidst Opposition Walkout

Ljubljana, 22 April - The National Assembly sent the draft penal code to final reading on Tuesday after rejecting all of the opposition's amendments. Opposition MPs then walked out of the session in protest over what they believe was an unacceptable procedure to pass such an important document. The penal code is expected to be passed on Thursday.
