Lawmakers Give Green Light to Free Meals for Secondary Students

Ljubljana, 24 April - MPs passed on Thursday a law on meal subsidies for secondary school students in a 46:0 vote. The law provides one free warm meal for students each school day, regardless of their social position. The law was passed in absence of opposition parties, which had staged a walkout due to an earlier vote on the new penal code.
