Slovenian Population Falls Due to New Counting Method

Ljubljana, 30 April - Slovenia's population has fallen by several thousand people owing to the use of new EU-compatible standards for the count, the national Statistics Office said on Wednesday. The population is thus calculated to stand at 2,010,269 in 2007, down 15,597 or 0.8 percent over 2006.
