Ministry Bans Pesticides Thought Linked to Bee Deaths

Ljubljana, 23 May - The Agriculture Ministry has issued a decree banning several pesticides suspected of being linked to the recent annihilation of bee colonies in central Slovenia. The measure comes after initial analysis pointed to a possible interaction between pesticides clothianidin and fluvaliant used for treating crop seeds.
