Minority Writer Pahor Receives Prestigious Italian Prize

Florence, 29 August - "Nekropolis", a novel on his internment at the Nazi Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp, won Trieste-based Slovenian writer Boris Pahor the Viareggio Prize on Thursday. The jury conferring the prestigious Italian literary award said Pahor was "a paragon of honesty and talent", the Trieste daily Il Piccolo reported on Friday.
