Rail Operator Posts Profit, Generates Loss in Transport

Ljubljana, 2 September - National rail operator Slovenske zeleznice ended the first half of 2008 in the black, however posted a loss in the transport division. The group's operating revenues stood at EUR 223.3m, while operating costs amounted to EUR 209.7m, putting operating profit to EUR 13.6m. The group's net profit amounted to some EUR 17m.
