Rupel: EU to Pay EUR 0.5Bn for Georgia Mission

Avignon, 6 September - A mission to Georgia would cost the EU some EUR 500m over the next three years, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said in Avignon, France, on Saturday. Rupel said that the EU foreign ministers meeting informally in Avignon had agreed that Georgia needed help, while the issue of relations with Russia still needed to be discussed.
