Opposition Favours Defence Budget Cuts, Ruling Party Against

Ljubljana, 16 September - One area where a clear divide has appeared between the ruling coalition and most of the opposition parties in the run-up to the 21 September general election is defence spending. While the majority of the opposition strongly favours cuts in the defence budget, the main coalition parties highlight Slovenia's commitments to NATO.
